EBC RP1 Pads

Designed for high-performance track use, RP-1™ offers a moderately high friction level of 0.45 across temperatures from 100 to 750°C (200–1400°F). Its more progressive response makes it an excellent choice for vehicles with inherently over-servoed braking systems, where a softer pad compound enhances control and precision under braking.

RP-1™ also performs exceptionally well with many non-EBC Big Brake Kits, as its smoother response helps counteract the over-servoed feel that can arise when upgrading to larger brake discs and calipers with increased piston displacement.

      • Designed, manufactured, and run-out tested in the UK to ensure uncompromising quality.

    • Versatile Conversion Options:

      • Available as a direct replacement for performance vehicles originally equipped with 2-piece brake discs, or as an easy bolt-on upgrade for vehicles fitted with standard 1-piece cast iron discs.
      • For vehicles with a 2-piece pin-drive disc as standard, the EBC SG2F 2-piece disc upgrade seamlessly converts to a fully floating 2-piece system without any vehicle modifications.
      • No modifications are necessary for these 2-piece disc conversions.

    • Enhanced Thermal Performance:

      • Features 48 directionally-handed, curved vanes that efficiently dissipate heat, helping to maintain lower operating temperatures and delay the onset of brake fade.

    • Lightweight & High-Quality Construction:

      • Lighter than OE discs, these 2-piece brake discs are engineered for superior performance.
      • The outer friction rings are cast from a high-copper, high-carbon G3500 disc alloy, while the bells are precision machined from aerospace-grade aluminium and hard anodised for excellent durability and appearance.

    • Advanced Floating Design:

      • The cast iron friction ring 'floats' on EBC's patented SD-Drive technology bobbins, allowing up to 3mm of expansion and contraction under the extreme heat of heavy braking.
      • All bobbins are crafted from a single piece of stainless steel, which prevents corrosion and ensures long-term free-floating performance.
      • Each bobbin location is equipped with an anti-rattle spring clip, ensuring silent operation without the common noise issues seen in other full race 2-piece disc systems.

    • Performance and Cost Benefits:

      • Upgrading to an EBC 2-piece disc reduces unsprung rotational mass, leading to sharper turn-in, improved tyre road holding, better fuel economy, and increased horsepower at the wheels.
      • When the cast iron friction ring wears out, it can be replaced independently, allowing the centre hub and stainless bobbins to be reused and reducing long-term running costs.
